Car Window Films: Metalized vs Non-metalized
What is the difference between these two films?
All-metal film is a kind of film that is made of metal. With a metal deposited to one side of polyester, the all-metal tint is laminated over a clear layer on the surface. It is a best way to protect the metal. While on the opposite side, the film is added with a scratch coat glued to the other. Covered with a liner, now you have the metallized film.
You an also find all-metal film in dye metal combination. Instead of the clear metallied layer of polyester, this kind of all-metal film is laminated over a dyed one. It can help tone down reflectivity and add color for that sweet 'smoked' glass look.
Though reflective or mirrored and shielding signals like GPS, all-metal films have the highest heat rejection and the longest life expectancy.
As a strictly color-dyed polyester, non-metal film carries the worst solar performance values. But it is the cheapest to buy in many cases. With economy the way it is, Non-metallized film are in demand.
There is also a new kind of film called ceramic film. It uses ceramic in nano-particle coatings of various types and qualities as a replacement to metals.
They come in all ceramic or dyed/ceramic combination. These give you as great or greater solar performance over all others except for a few of the all-metal films.

Reasons for Wrapping Your Car
Aged just 21, a Nottingham entrepreneur is breaking down barriers in the motor industry by launching her own window tinting and car wrapping business. When she wants to get window tint tool, she may choose to look for it online.
Vieira, a man who do excellent job in this industry, his biggest wrappers is Tesla owners.
“You only have maybe four or five (factory) colours to choose from,” said Vieira. “So, the Tesla owners talk to each other and eventually decide that wrapping that needs window tint squeegee and vinyl wrap tools is the only way to make them unique.”
Another reason is that Tesla owners seem to prefer protecting the paint on their car. Of course, this desire for preservation extends well beyond Tesla owners.

Did Any Of You Attend Any Training Seminars
Did any of you attend any training seminars? Did you learn by just doing it yourself with window tint tool? Or did you learn from someone else?
I am so interested in doing this, but worry it would be really slow, painful and expensive to teach myself.
I did the level 2 certification through VViVid at Ckwraps in Toronto. And then I stayed an extra 2 days for one on one training. It was an incredible experience and completely worth it, as that was my first time in Canada also. It was one hell of a jump start, and I immediately learned how little I actually knew about wrapping as well as window tint squeegee. If you have a lot of free time and the money to invest in a bunch of vinyl, then you could teach yourself. If you're trying to get going right away, then I highly recommend training. Training courses and certifications are always good even if you have experience and know what you're doing also. I'm all about education.
I did a 2 day course at Grafityp in the UK run by James Deacon of Bigger Stickers, loads of theory and practical work.... he is really very good.....
Where’s the best place to get training near me? I wrap now but I’d love to get certified! I’m in Virginia Beach va. I’ve searched but haven’t had any luck, next time I will do ppf with paint protection film installation tool myself.

I'm Not To Familiar With Car Wrap Tool
Hey everyone, so I'm not to Familiar with wraps and so on but I have a car that I would like to wrap the chrome and have it color match as best as possible to the cars color.
I had some places look and it and give me a price and one of them said that they would only be able to some not all of it because the vinyl doesn't stick to the plastic parts.
Is this true or should I just look elsewhere for the service of tint tool?
I tell my customers to put a sticker on the plastic and the paint. Wait a few days and see how hard it is to remove it with window tint squeegee.
Some un painted plastics will need plastic primer applied to it first otherwise vinyl may fail.

Bulking And Wrapping
Bulking and wrapping with Llumar Ultimate...
How would you approach it without tint tool?
Do the whole hood !!!
Hoods easy. Have not had the luck of getting any letters to stay stuck anyone else try the letters with any success
Ended up throwing steam under the film and pressing out with my thumbs, No adhesion promoter as well as Car Wrap Tool... I was afraid it make it more difficult to get the moisture out over the lips. It looked great at night, but noticed a few spot the next day where solution collected. Pretty good over all, think I would approach it the same way again with vinyl car wrap tool kit!
